Satish Rao is a Managing Director at Clareo, where he serves as an expert advisor to some of the world's leading energy and resources companies, with a focus on technology and innovation, critical minerals and mining, and energy. Mr. Rao has supported clients across the value chain - from exploration, production, waste and tailings management - helping them define aspirational futures, develop visions and strategies, innovation capabilities and apply new technologies to address strategic sustainability and growth challenges. Its clients include global leaders such as Rio Tinto, BHP, Anglo American, Teck Resources, Barrick Gold, Metso, Weir Group, BP, Woodside Energy, Chevron, Baker Hughes, Castrol, GE and Exelon.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Rao worked in the technology sector at companies such as IBM, Motorola and Ericsson, where he developed software and mobile solutions and contributed to telecommunications industry standards. He holds an MBA in Strategy from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, in addition to a master's degree and a bachelor's degree in engineering and computer science.
